Yahro Piqué (2006) is a Dutch competitive swimmer who lives and trains in New York City. He is a seven-time Swim For the Future Scholarship recipient at AGUA, a Winter Junior qualifier in the 100 & 200m freestyle (LCM), and a 2023 NK finalist in the 400m freestyle (Netherlands, SCM). Our goal is to provide Yahro with high-quality training to reach his potential in the water.

Yahro had a great season and was awarded the AGUA Breakthrough Award 15 & Over. He dropped time in all of his events, both in short & long course. Yahro started the year off with 7 Sectionals cuts. He ended the year with 2 Winter Jr National cuts, 4 Futures cuts, and 11 Sectionals cuts. His fastest event, the 100 freestyle, was 0.20 off of Summer Jr Nationals.
At the last meet of the 2025 LCM season, Yahro dropped time in all but one of his events and he won 4 medals. He got 3rd place in the 800m freestyle, 4th in the 200m freestyle, and 7th in both the 100m & 400m freestyles. His team did not take part in relays at this meet.
Yahro won 4 relay medals and his first individual medal at Senior Mets (3rd in the 100m freestyle, WJR). Together with his teammates, he broke 3 more new Open relay team records swimming freestyle in all of them: 4x100m Medley (2nd, new team record open, WJR), 4x50m freestyle (2nd, new team record open), 4x100m freestyle (2nd, new team record open, WJR), and 4x200m freestyle (3rd, SJR).
At the 2025 Eastern Zone Speedo Short Course Sectionals Championship meet at Ithaca College, Yahro finaled in the 100y fr (8th), 200y fr (9th), 500y fr (11th), and 50y fr (18th) and the AGUA team finished in Second place for the Men, Women, and Combined Team Scores.

team records swimming freestyle in the 4x50y Medley (2nd)
and the 4x100y Medley (2nd, new team records 15-18&open)
and the 4x50y freestyle (3rd), 4x100y freestyle (3rd, new team records 15-18&open), and 4x200y freestyle (2nd, new team records 15-18&open).
Yahro qualified for the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m freestyle, 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke and swam bonus cuts in the 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly for the Dutch Championships long course meters (Nederlandse Kampioenschappen NK). He did not attend, instead he was swimming in Nashville,TN. NK took place in swimming pool Amerena in Amersfoort, Netherlands in June 2025.

At Eastern Zone Senior Sectionals Championship meet in March 2024, AGUA repeated as Combined Team Champions which included an overall Men's Team Championship and several new AGUA relay team records.
Also at the 2024 Eastern Zone Sectionals Championship meet at Brown University, Yahro won 2 medals anchoring two A relays swimming freestyle in both 4x100y freestyle relay in a winning time of 3:02.70 (new team record) and second place in the 4x50y medley relay (0.30 short of breaking another team record). He also swam on several more B relays.
Yahro competed in the 50 & 100 butterfly, 100 & 400 freestyle, and 4x100 freestyle relay at the Netherlands Championships short course meters (Nederlandse Kampioenschappen NK). He got faster in all his events and he swam finals in the 400 freestyle dropping another second from his prelims time making the LCM NK Open cut. NK took place in swimming pool Hofbad in The Hague, Netherlands in December 2023.
